Basic Information About Arnold Prank Calls And Other Similar Ones

Practical jokes or commonly known as pranks are mischievous tricks played on someone, usually to let the victim experience discomfort, confusion, perplexity or embarrassment. These differ from hoaxes or confidence tricks because victims are told about the joke after rather than tricking them to hand over valuables like money. They are normally lighthearted and have no lasting impact.

Their aim is in making their target feel foolish and humbled but not humiliated and victimized by using gestures with affection and humor to encourage laughter. Samples of these are the Arnold prank calls which the caller use some sound clips acquired from movies of that actor into fooling the other person to think the one calling them is the celebrity. They use for this digital applications where they only choose recorded sentences in talking like them.

Originally, these were done by imitating the voice of famous people during telephone calls which is easier since the callers are anonymous. Doing this have been harder since then because technology of letting you know who is calling you has been developed. These are known as caller IDs where individuals can now see the names of those calling them.

Pranksters can also use payphones because their numbers would not display in the device the receiver has but most people tend to not answer calls without caller Ids. These now have become less common since payphones are slowly being phased out with fewer ones left only. Their goal to remain anonymous is difficult with these.

Another option is increasing in popularity which is using some VoIP services where telephone number will not exist simply. Tracing these calls are very difficult because they could pass through several servers and routers operated by different entities from various countries. Law enforcement agencies can trace them though but the required resources, effort and time is too great for an ordinary prank.

Prank calls are increasing in popularity again with more people utilizing the internet with several online radio stations dedicate to this their content. They broadcast those submitted by the community and feature them at their channel. Software apps are there that allows them to share privately their pranks in real time with fellow users.

Sharing personally made pranks calls is possible through the internet and this allows them to develop a community. They could share these things live or those they previously recorded and some systems lets listeners chat while pranksters are calling their victims. This lets them discuss and give the caller suggestions on what they say.

Be careful though when you plan to do this yourself because laws are there against the abuse of this joke that is considered a crime. You could not call emergency services then pretend someone needs help immediately or just talk to them random things. Calling with intent of threatening, abusing or harassing someone is a crime too.

Another commonly done prank considered a crime is when you contact law enforcement agencies to report a threat like a bomb. This could cause them to search the area or cancel an event happening there resulting to inconvenience for many people. Doing these acts might get you arrested after tracing you.
