Those Who Cannot Join Tours Discover The Beauty Of The World Through NY Travel Photographer

By Selena Chery

There are amazing things to photograph in New York City. Many leading photographers have shot pictures of the Statue of Liberty, Central Park and the Empire State Building. New York City may be the home of a NY Travel Photographer, but he travels around the world to return with photos of cities and remote villages.

A photographer spends much time away from home filming pictures of remote islands and mountain tops. When they bring them back for publication, people can see and learn about places they never knew existed. It is like a window into a world they may never see.

Not everyone can afford the time or the air fare to explore this amazing world we live in. There is beauty to be found in our country and town. However, we can travel vicariously by leafing through the pages of National Geographic or the latest coffee table book of old castles in Scotland.

What most people know of the world are the major tourist attractions in each country. The Eiffel Tower and waterways of Venice are familiar. But, it is a rare treat to see people walking down a narrow cobblestone street in France. Tall buildings on either side give it the appearance of a tunnel.

The top photographer makes it almost possible to feel imaginary sand under your toes on an exotic beach when you look at the sun rising from the water. He may capture the endangered polar bears in Alaska one day. The next he may point his camera at gorillas living in the diminishing rain forest of Kenya. See Alaskans in parkas trimmed with fur. Look at smiling school children in Kenya wearing bright uniforms.

A photograph may show a family on horseback walking over the waves lapping onto a tropical beach in Cancun. Pictures are brought back to be published in magazines and coffee table books. Great numbers of people will get a peek at foreign lands they would not have known existed.
