Perfect examples are Fairmont, Four Seasons, Conrad, Waldorf Astoria, and Intercontinetal.

Full service hotels refer to upscale full-service facilities which offer a wide range of on-site amenities, on-site full-service restaurants, and full service accommodations. One can expect to find ballrooms, health clubs, swimming pools, children activities, and on-site conference facilities among others amenities at these establishments. Good examples of full service hotels are Marriott, Westin, Hyatt, and Hilton.

Rooms in a hotel are usually numbered to make it easy for guests to identify them. When renting the room, some hotels may offer food or drinks as part of the arrangement. Some facilities offer minimum amenities and service to guests besides accommodation. These facilities are often more suitable to specific guests and serve only specific geographical areas.

Hotel management is accepted worldwide as a professional career and field of academic study. There are many degree programs that one can undertake to qualify as a hotel manager including a business degree and hospitality management studies. The general manager serves as the head executive with assistance from departmental heads. Lower ranking positions include middle management, administrative position, and line-level supervision.
